Rod Urquhart spent 40 years in the newspaper business, mainly in York Region.

He’s the former Editor of a number of newspapers, magazines and specialty publications.

Rod lives in Newmarket, Ontario with his beloved wife and pooch Heidi.

He’s now retired. He volunteers as the Communication Director for

The Very Useful Theatre Company.

Rod is an award-winning journalist and his latest book – Life Lines – a Collection of Thoughts and Poems – is a collection of short, but earthly poems. No experience necessary!

We support High School Volunteer hours as well.
