Been married a while? Been thinking ‘what would it like to have an affair’?

Yeah, there may be one or two of you! If this is the case, you simply must take in the venerable Newmarket Stage Company’s production of ‘Last of the Red Hot Lovers,’ by famed playwright Neil Simon.

Barney is just your average middle-aged, married man, who seeks a little extra-curricular activity with a woman – in fact he tries out three different women at his mother’s apartment, with absolutely hilarious results!

This rib-tickler stars the well-known actor J.C. Paquet (of Bradford) as Barney in a stellar performance, with his three ‘ladies’ – Cheidre Mackey of Newmarket; Laurie Williams of Keswick; and, Erin Wrightson of Newmarket – who all react differently to his advances! It’s definitely sure to have you laughing in the aisles! All three of these ‘ladies’ are seasoned stage professionals!

“This dynamic, yet very funny play, will definitely lift everybody out of the February blahs!” exclaimed Diane Ament, President of the Newmarket Stage Company. ‘Last of the Red Hot Lovers’ is directed by the very experienced Teri Hallat.

It’s at Stage 426, the Newmarket Legion, 707 Srigley St., on Feb. 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, and 10 at 8 p.m. with a Thursday matinee on Feb. 8 at 2 p.m. Tickets are a mere $15 for a great night out with comfortable cabaret seating!

Tickets available now – call the Box Office at 905-727-3290. (Discounts for large groups available).
